John Cross, author of the story, understands Jose Mourinho has given the Ivorian no explanation why he been dropped and was axed completely from the squad to face Arsenal on Sunday.
Bailly, 24, has not played since the Manchester derby when United came from behind to beat City and prolong their Premier League title celebrations.
