Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are set to go head-to-head in the FA Cup semi-final this weekend at Wembley.
Spurs may have home advantage but it’s not as if that will make any difference on the day. After all, this is an FA Cup semi-final.
Jose Mourinho will see his men go into the game on the back of a 2-0 win over Bournemouth which put the Reds on course to finish runners-up in the Premier League above rivals Liverpool.
The United boss made seven changes to his side on Wednesday night when Chris Smalling and Romelu Lukaku both scored to take them four points clear of the Scousers.
Mourinho has only won the FA Cup once before – one more time than Mauricio Pochettino – with Chelsea in 2006/07, so he will be hoping to add to that this time round with United.
The Lilywhites were held to a 1-1 draw at Brighton on Tuesday night, however, they should be keen to end their 10-year wait for a trophy but Pochettino strangely played that down in his pre-match press conference.
Mourinho suggested that Antonio Valencia and Nemanja Matic would start the FA Cup semi-final against Spurs after being rested midweek.
Meanwhile, Ander Herrera and Paul Pogba put in good shifts and were both substituted in the second half which may have signalled they’ll start. The French midfielder’s performance was described as “very good” and “complete” after being heavily criticised since January.
Toby Alderweireld started his first game in six months against Brighton and will be keen to play a role in the semi-final. He’s also on United’s transfer radar as we approach the summer.
Dele Alli, who has blown hot and cold all season, is expected to come back into the starting line-up.
Manchester United – 5/2
Draw after 90 mins – 5/2
There are rumours doing the rounds that Marcus Rashford will start ahead of Alexis Sanchez. The England international is 13/4 to score anytime with Unibet if you’re looking for a decent odds to throw into an accumulator.
