Manchester United are set to appoint their first female chief operating officer.
According to BBC Sport, Collette Roche will be named as only the fifth woman to take a boardroom role in the top flight of English football.
Roche is currently an executive director at Manchester Airports Group, as well as a non-executive director at JW Lees Brewery. She will join Darcie Glazer at United, who is daughter of Malcolm Glazer.
Other key female figures in the English game are as follows: Karren Brady is the vice-chairman at West Ham, Marina Granovskaia is the director at Chelsea, Susan Whelan is the chief executive officer at Leicester City and Denise Barret-Baxendale is Everton’s deputy chief executive.
