Another elite club joins Juventus in race for Anthony Martial

I don’t think any Red takes pleasure from reading reports about Anthony Martial leaving the club. The Frenchman doesn’t want to move away from Manchester United, he just wants to be promised more game time. Surely, nobody can blame him for that?

It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to work out the manager isn’t Martial’s biggest fan, but the same can be said about Marcus Rashford which is truly baffling. This could lead to United losing their two brightest stars.

Anyhow, Martial to Juventus reports are picking up at a frightening pace in Italy, specifically with Gazzetta dello Sport.

It has gone beyond the stage where we can dismiss it as ‘paper talk’ or an agent working towards a better deal.

However, a new club has entered the equation and it’s another European super club. Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich are willing to make negotiations difficult for Juventus by throwing their hat into the ring.

The Italian newspaper state Bayern appear to be ahead of Juventus in the race due to being able to offer him both more money and being the heir to either side of the attack, with both Arjen Robben and Frank Ribery edging towards retirement. (H/t Sport Witness)

This would be a huge mistake from United. An unforgivable one, almost.
