Manchester United retain interest in Gareth Bale and Chelsea star

Jose Mourinho is keen on potential Manchester United deals to sign Gareth Bale and Willian, according to a report in England.

The Daily Mail claim United are keeping tabs on the Wales international given his uncertain future at Real Madrid. Last night, Bale was pulled off at half-time following a lacklustre display against Juventus in the Champions League semi-final.

Few players in Zinedine Zidane’s side filled themselves with glory so it would be harsh to pin that on Bale, although he was the only one axed during the interval.

Bale has fallen down the pecking order at the Bernabeu after struggling with injuries over the past few months.

The same article states United are also interested in a swoop for Chelsea winger Willian, who is exactly the player I think the side needs on the right side of midfield.

The Brazil international has always struggled to retain a regular starting spot under Stamford Bridge manager Antonio Conte, and working under Mourinho again has always appealed to Willian.

Under Mourinho, Willian won the Premier League title and the League Cup but he will be interested to see who replaces Conte next season before deciding on his own future.
