Wilfried Zaha rejoins Crystal Palace on permanent deal

Wilfried Zaha has rejoined Crystal Palace from Manchester United on a five-and-a-half-year contract.

The player had moved to Old Trafford two years ago as Fergie’s final signing never really had opportunities at Manchester United. David Moyes came in as manager and gave Zaha a few runs on pre-season but it wasn’t long before the England winger was sent out on loan to Cardiff.

At United, Zaha never started a Premier League game and after costing the club over £10m you need answers.

“I wasn’t getting much game time at Manchester United so took the opportunity of coming back on loan this season,” Zaha told Palace’s website. “To now have the chance to make the move permanent and come home to Selhurst Park is something I’m delighted about.

“For me to be a better player I need to play more games and having a gaffer [Alan Pardew] that, I know, has great trust in me gives me the confidence I need to help me improve my game.

“I started playing here when I was eight years of age and my family live local and to have the opportunity to take the field in the Premier League for this club is a dream come true.”
