Caught out at Cardiff

United went into the game at Cardiff City knowing a victory would take us into the top four and within touching distance of the top spots.

Cardiff have proven to be a difficult task at their home ground with victories over Manchester City and Swansea to their name, David Moyes was without Nemanja Vidic, Rafael da Silva, Michael Carrick and Robin van Persie for the game.

The game started off well, Rooney escaped what should have been a red card and went onto score and assist a goal as the Reds took a 2-1 lead into the half time break.

We failed to keep the ball well enough and didn’t do enough to eventually seal all three points, Cardiff grabbing a gut wrenching late equaliser.

I give my thoughts on how United fared as we went on to drop two points.

It wasn’t an easy game but United were far from their best and I tell you how we could have got back from Wales with all three points intact and who our better and worst players were.
