Toure has already dismissed Manchester United’s chances of defending their Premier League title because we’re apparently ‘struggling’ under David Moyes.
A look at the Premier League table, though, would suggest the 30-year-old midfielder is getting ahead of himself a bit. Both Manchester clubs have lost three times this season and City, placed in seventh, are just two points above United.
Toure told The Sun: “United will find it hard to defend the title since they have a new manager and are really struggling.
“Liverpool are a big threat at the moment because they have a strong squad and their strikers — Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge — are scoring goals at will.”
