Fellaini given extra time to seal United move

The Belgian FA have given Marouane Fellaini extra leeway to seal his protracted £24M deal with United.

Fellaini was due to meet up with his Belgian colleagues today, but the Belgian FA tweeted, “Fellaini and Bakkali did not train today. Fellaini will join the group later.”

Everton have got contingency plans in place if and when Fellaini is sold, but it is believed that the £24M deal has been verbally agreed.

Fellaini has been given permission to stay in England in order to finalise his move which has been a drawn-out saga, with many of the opinion that this deal should have been done earlier if we were so keen on him, his £23M buyout clause expired at the beginning of August.

With Bilbao’s Ander Herrera another possible signing before the 11pm deadline, the next few hours are going to be a mad scramble to get deals done.

Fellaini has been given the best possible chance to do that thanks to the Belgian FA.

  1. This fee is ridiculous for an average player! what has happened to football it seems top teams are willing to pay over the top for average players at best?
