Briefly mentioned in our No.7’s of Manchester United piece this week, Antonio Valencia got his name on the scoresheet in Ecuador’s 4-2 defeat against Germany.
A consolation goal, yes. Valencia took it well having scored just before half time when Germany were winning 4-0. Ecuador’s second came from Jaime Ayovi six minutes from the end.
