City fans paid tribute to Roberto Mancini last week by buying an advert in La Gazzetta thanking the axed manager for all he’s done. United fans made one for Mickey Phelan in Lancashire, pointing the finger of laughter at the noisy neighbours.
The advert is titled ‘Cheers Mike’ and below contains the gag ‘you make adverts, we make history.’ Credit to Andy Mitten, the founder of United We Stand, for digging it out.
