Wayne Rooney took just eight minutes to open the scoring in his first appearance since returning from a knee injury. Nani and Anderson were also given their first start in 2013 after two separate battles in the medical room.
Anderson got things running with a superb through ball to Javier Henrnadez, who unselfishly assisted Rooney shortly after kick off. It’s important we get him back to scoring ways as soon as possible in order to be less reliant on Robin van Persie.
