Ashley Williams gets away with incident that ‘could have killed’ Van Persie

After Robin van Persie had been fouled at the edge of the box, Ashley Williams intentionally kicked the ball off the back of his head. As a result, both players were booked. Williams for being a thug and Van Persie for his reaction.

In his post match interview, Sir Alex Ferguson claimed it was one of the most dangerous things he’d seen during a match. “The Van Persie situation you can clearly see that he could have been killed,” he told Sky Sports.

The FA today has decided not to take action against Swansea captain Williams for blatantly kicking the ball towards Van Persie after the whistle had been blown for a foul committed by Nathan Dyer.

What will the conspiracy theorists make of this? United get all the decisions.
