Former Manchester United captain Rio Ferdinand has moved quickly to rubbish reports that suggest he will miss out on ‘Super Sunday’ clash with Arsenal due to a concussion injury he picked up during the win over Bolton.
The composed centre-back has struggled with a number of back injuries in recent years and has lost a few yards of pace since signing for the club, from Leeds, back in 2002.
In order to rubbish the stories claiming Rio would be absent for the fixture, the 33-year-old took it to Twitter saying: “Just dispelling the rumours that I’m a doubt for Sunday! Trained with the team as normal since the game Saturday! Coaches ran us hard 2day!” (@rioferdy5)
