Noel Gallagher not giddy like the majority of City fans

A lot of the spotlight has been on our noisy neighbors since the season started less than a month ago. Pundits and journalists discussed if they are ready to challenge for the biggest prize in English football. But at least one of their high-profile fans can see they’re still a long way off surpassing Manchester United.

City attracted two major signings this summer, being Samir Nasri and Sergio Aguero. These players will only improve their squad, but Noel Gallagher can see Sir Alex Ferguson’s influence at Old Trafford proving decisive.

The ex-Oasis guitarist told Manchester’s Key 103 radio: ‘I gotta say, United look strong and the one thing United will always have over us is Ferguson can manage that team across the season and he’ll always manage to get the best out of those players.

‘I think we’ve probably got better players than they have, but I think Ferguson will always be able to galvanise that team, no matter what.’

Manchester United fans obviously hate City, but some, like me, have a lot of respect for Noel and the music he produces. He is known as the intelligent one, when compared to his controversial brother, Liam Gallagher, who also supporters City.
