Nasri unsure if he will commit his future to le Arse after Wenger confirmed just days ago that negotiations between the player and the club had stalled. Could he be on the way to Manchester United?
Arsenal midfielder Samir Nasri has put his future at Arsenal in even more doubt after claiming he’s unsure whether he will accept his new contract or not. The Frenchman also wants to learn more about the interest from Manchester United.
The 23-year-old has been given until July to sign the new deal with Arsenal or be sold as his current contract runs out next summer. They obviously won’t want to lose their second most influential player to their rivals but it would be silly for one to think they’ll allow him leave on a free-transfer.
The French international refused to go into detail because his mind is set on France’s up-coming matches against Ukraine and Poland.
“I don’t know if I will sign a new contract,” he told TF1’s Telefoot. “Anyway, the discussions are ongoing. For the moment, I don’t think about this. We will speak about it after the match with Poland.”
Manchester United are favorites to sign the former Marseille man since French left-back Patrice Evra told Nasri to join him at United. In reply to Evra’s comments, Wenger came out and told a French radio station that he wouldn’t sell Nasri to United, but Nasri said he wants to learn more about the interest.
“We should see if it’s [the interest from Manchester United] real and if it is concrete.”
