Berbatov To Finish Career At Manchester United

Emil Danchev told Bulgarian TV 7:

I’m almost sure he will finish his competitive career with United. He is a very balanced person and he knows what is best for him.

Berbatov’s contract expires in 2012 and if he keeps scoring goals the way he has done since the 2010/11 campaign started, I can see him signing another.

The famous hat-trick that he scored against Liverpool earlier this season put him in the fans good books after most started criticizing the striker for being inconsistent. Yes, he went on a run of games this season without hitting the net again and scoring 5 against Blackburn certainly put that one to bed. He only became the fourth Premier League player to score five times in one match following Alan Shearer, Andy Cole and Jermain Defoe.

There are different characters at United and there’s big competition too. Berbatov sets an example to everyone in the team.

This is showing what a good idea it was to retire from international football!
