Manchester United fans had to be pulled away by police tonight after a protest outside Wayne Rooney’s house.
It’s now thought 40 fans showed up for the protest but the main question is, where were the other 75,917 who all turn up to Old Trafford every week? Some witty tweets suggested that others showed up at one of the prostitutes hotels.
The protest occurred after Rooney let all the fans know that he no longer wanted to play at Old Trafford because he didn’t think the club was going in the right direction. Being linked with rivals Manchester City never helped either.
Rooney refusing to sign a new contract has left Sir Alex Ferguson and many other puzzled but Fergie made it clear that he told him no matter what, he has to respect the club in the position it’s in.
Hopefully they all keep Wayne up for the night and that he doesn’t get a wink of sleep!
