Maxi Lopez’s agent has put rumours to bed after he denied that the Argentinian striker is a potential January signing for Manchester United. The 26 year old has impressed during his short time in Italy, scoring 11 goals in just 17 appearances for Catania.
He is supposed to be on the verge of breaking into the Argentina national squad and Ferguson is linked with signing him before he makes it big.
Representative Dario Bombini told Itasportpress: “As far as I know, Manchester United are not following Maxi. I have not had any contact with the club or Alex Ferguson.
“He is doing well at Catania, he is scoring goals for the club, is enjoying the esteem and has the confidence of the coach.”
