Bebé Makes Depute For Reserves

Bebé tonight made his long awaited reserve depute for Manchester United, sadly the match ended in a 4-1 defeat against Aston Villa. The striker from Victoria Guimaraes played the full 90 minutes but failed to get on the score sheet.

The reason why we had to wait this long is that Ferguson didn’t think that the forward’s fitness levels were up to the standard that’s required.  During the international break Bebé took part in a couple of the Portugal’s Under-21 match’s.

Tonight Bebé produced some dangerous crosses and some good link up play with Gabriel Obertan but it has to be said that Villa’s midfielder Barry Bannan stole the show after scoring a hat-trick.

  1. Was he playing winger? Do we know what his best position is yet? When we bought him, the official line was that he was a striker. Since then, I have heard he is more of a winger or an attacking midfielder. Saw bits of him for Portugal U21s and not convinced he is a striker at all.
