Houllier Interested In Bringing Owen To Villa

Manchester United striker Michael Owen is being linked to become Gerard Houllier’s first signing at his new club Aston Villa. Houllier I’m sure would love to get a chance in managing Owen again and first team football could persuade the English man in moving to Villa Park.

Michael Owen aged 30 has scored only nine goals in 14 months at Manchester United but has quoted many times in the past how happy he is playing under Sir Alex Ferguson even if he isn’t starting every week. You would imagine that Owen wouldn’t cost to much so he would suit Villa’s chairman Randy Lerner’s budget.

Personally I’m a fan of Michael Owen and wouldn’t like to see him move anywhere but I’m sure if the price is right we’ll have to sell him. I wouldn’t mind getting in Agbonlahor or Ashley Young in a swap deal but Houllier is probably only interest in improving his squad.

Michael Owen hasn’t even got a game this season even though I taught he would against Everton when Wayne Rooney wasn’t named in the squad. He must be fit after last years injury seeing Ferguson allowed him to take part in Jamie Carragher’s testimonial a week ago so there can’t be any excuses!
