Ferdinand Close To Full Fitness

Manchester United legend and reserve manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer played Ferdinand for forty-five minutes and has told Ferguson that his center back could now be considered fit enough to be named in the squad that plays Everton next.

Solskjaer said: “I am not sure he needs any more games. Rio is a naturally fit lad and is now available for selection.”

I can recall Ferguson telling Skysports that he wouldn’t rush Ferdinand back and is happy to wait until the English man is back to full fitness. I wouldn’t think Rio is back to full fitness after playing only forty-five minutes in a reserve match but I’m sure after hearing this Ferguson will keep a close eye on him in training and he’ll take it from there. Lets hope we won’t have to wait to much longer, but even if we do remember we still have Jonny Evans!

  1. I’d be spewing if he was rushed back for the Everton game and got injured again.

He was awful in patches last season when he was underdone and I’d hate to see that happen again.

With Vidic and Evans (if he’s not injured after pulling out yesterday) forming a strong partnership, there is no need to rush Rio
