Darren Fletcher now sees himself staying at Manchester United for the rest of his career. The midfielder now has about 250 appearances with the club and a contact until 2010. Fletcher had a super season last time round and was maybe one of the best midfielders in the 09/10 season. He is a complete work horse that never runs out of energy.
Fletcher told ManUtd.com: “I can’t ever imagine being anywhere else,”
“There is nowhere better than Manchester United and if I can play my whole career at this club I will be a very happy man.
“Everything about the club – the fans, the facilities and the structure – is fantastic and I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.
“There is something very special about staying at one club for your whole career”
This is some great news for us Manchester United fans isn’t it, I do see him stay till he ends and I always did being honest. When you bring a player up through the youth system they are more likely to stay then players coming from the likes of spain etc. I met Fletcher 5 years ago as a youth and man he has changed so much into a midfield great.
