In June we brought you pictures of the new kit but today it was officially revealed to the public.
Immediate thoughts were on the Chevrolet logo, huge and coloured in yellow. It makes the jersey look a bit like one of those cycling shirts. Next up is a sleeve sponsor or maybe something tattooed across Wayne Rooney’s face. ‘Maybe he’s born with it. Maybe it’s ketamine?’
In all seriousness, tough, I expected worse and it will probably grow on us. Time and time again Nike pop up with average designs but dare I say this is one of their better ones? Bring in Adidas and go retro.
