Manchester United to beat City to another transfer target!

Manchester United are preparing for a busy summer of transfer activity with several players expected to both join and leave the club before the start of next season.

Whenever there’s a transfer window United are linked with every name under the sun, hence why it’s important for sites like ours to investigate each story and keep track of what the media outlets are reporting.

Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Fred keeps popping up as a target in the newspapers, but he has also been linked with a move to Manchester City.

However, even if City are interested we ought to remember how we beat them to Alexis Sanchez’s signature in January.

Fred, for those unaware of his talents, is renowned for both defending and attacking – and it was in Shakhtar Donetsk’s Champions League group stage clash against City that he really impressed, welcoming attention from Pep Guardiola and other big names in European football.

The Daily Star claim that United are in pole position and that Fred is expected to join the club over the coming months.

United need a central midfielder or two this summer with Michael Carrick retiring and Marouane Fellaini on the way out. Fred has allegedly become one of Mourinho’s prime targets this summer.
