Hooray: Italian giants to offer Marouane Fellaini escape route from Man Utd

Too good to be true? Let’s wait and see.

Marouane Fellaini’s performance against Brighton on Friday night was nothing short of pathetic, but he was not the only player to enter our bad books. It was up there with Manchester United’s worst performances this season and since Jose Mourinho became manager.

There was no creativity or imagination.

Fellaini started the game which immediately sent shivers down my spine. He’s never been a player for creativity, but instead is often used as a plan B from the bench due to his effectiveness with the ball in the air. The tactics go out the window and United begin to lump long balls forward.

After a five-year spell at Old Trafford, we’re hoping Fellaini packs his bags and goes elsewhere this summer. The Belgium international’s contract is up at the end of the season, therefore, the big tree looking human being will be available on a free.

According to Corriere dello Sport, as per Manchester Evening News, AC Milan have entered the race for Fellaini’s signature. The Italian newspaper report that Milan have already opened discussions over a possible transfer.

Gennaro Gattuso has done a surprisingly good job to turn Milan’s fortunes around but their fans will expect more next season. Fellaini is unlikely to make such a difference.
