Cristiano Ronaldo can save world football in Kiev by stopping Liverpool – Top Tweets

They did it. Yes, them.

Liverpool, who knocked Manchester City out of the Champions League in the quarter-finals, have gone on to reach the final, which takes place the Kiev.

Jurgen Klopp’s men qualified at Roma’s expense. The less said about that, between now and the final, the better but as a writer I won’t be able to ignore it completely.

In turn, my immediate focus turned to how can that shower of ****s be stopped. Real Madrid aren’t the greatest side defensively and any gaps will be exploited by Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane or that Colgate modelling Brazilian.

Call me bitter, childish or whatever… I’d rather the world came to a sudden end than watch the Scousers win another European Cup. It’s bad enough listening to their support bang on about Istanbul or the other four.

I, like most Reds, want to see Liverpool fail in Kiev and not lift a sixth European Cup. There’s no shame in having such a stance. I don’t like Scousers and they don’t like us, it’s not rocket science.

We’re looking at Cristiano Ronaldo to be the man to prevent Liverpool from finishing their season with football’s greatest prize. The 33-year-old has scored 42 goals in 41 games this season, 15 of which have come in the Champions League, so on May 26 I hope he can add to that and deny Liverpool their first piece of silverware under Klopp.
