Confirmed: Manchester United line-up vs Burnley – Angel Di Maria starts

Manchester United are on the road again for their third consecutive away trip in the space of a week. This time around Burnley are the opponents, sitting nineteenth in the league, and in search of their first win of the season like ourselves.

Angel Di Maria joined earlier this week and fans that are eagerly anticipating his debut will get just that today. He starts in arguably the strongest possible line-up available to Louis van Gaal, who spoke about 1o injuries within his squad during Friday’s press conference.

Manchester United: David de Gea; Phil Jones, Jonny Evans, Tyler Blackett, Antonio Valencia, Ashley Young, Darren Fletcher, Angel Di Maria, Juan Mata, Wayne Rooney, Robin van Persie.

Subs: Ben Amos, Anderson, Michael Keane, Danny Welbeck, Reece James, Javier Hernandez, Adnan Januzaj.

Burnley: Heaton; Tripper, Duff, Shackell, Mee;  Arfield, Jones, Marney, Taylor; Ings, Jutkiewicz.

Subs: Gilks, Ward, Reid, Long, Wallace, Sordell, Barnes.

Confidence is low right now but the squad needs a boost. A big win today would do just that and release a bit of pressure on Van Gaal. So far this season all of our predictions have been terribly wrong, so hopefully today I’m hoping we’re hoping my verdict at least will be right.
