United resigned to losing academy prospect they’d ‘love to keep’ as he sweats over first-team opportunities

Manchester United are resigned to losing Carrington prospect Isak Hansen-Aarøen and could oversee his exit before Thursday’s deadline.

As per Manchester Evening News, the Red Devils may attempt to soften the blow of the highly-rated youngster leaving by including a number of clauses in the terms of his sale.

Hansen-Aarøen, 19, is yet to make his debut for the senior squad and is said to harbour concerns over his route to the first-team, which is understandable given United’s depth in midfield, as well as ‘frustrated’ over not being granted his maiden outing this far down the line.

He is reluctant to part ways with the side he’s represented for just over three years and United would ‘love to keep’ him, however, talks have stalled over a new four-and-a-half-year contract that has been proposed to the Norweigan as he is well aware he could receive more lucrative terms elsewhere.

Should Hansen-Aarøen part in the coming days, Ajax, Atletico Madrid and Napoli are all keen on acquiring his signature.
