Manchester United make the trip to a not-so-happy hunting ground this weekend as Erik ten Hag makes his second trip to Anfield in charge of the club.
Ten Hag is aiming to get United back to winning ways but his side’s record at Anfield does not make for pretty reading, with United scoring just one goal in their last six visits to the red of Merseyside.
Additionally, the odds could not be stacked against Ten Hag more as the Dutchman is without the majority of his first-team regulars through injury and suspension.
If losing his captain, Bruno Fernandes, wasn’t enough of a blow, Ten Hag will also be without Harry Maguire for the trip after the defender sustained an injury against Bayern Munich.
Maguire has joined a long list of players on the sidelines, with Mason Mount, Lisandro Martinez and Casemiro among the stars to be absent.
