West Ham United’s new signing Edson Alvarez clearly thinks very highly of one Manchester United star.
The Mexican international recently arrived at the London Stadium from Ajax, where he spent four years and worked under current United boss Erik ten Hag.
Since completing the switch to the Premier League, Alvarez has been involved in the usual media duties that players do to help fans get to know their new recruits.
He took part in a Q&A with the Irons and was quizzed on which player was the ‘best’ that he’d played with, and responded: “Many good players but… Antony.”

The two shared the stage in Amsterdam before Antony became a Red last summer, so they’ll be looking forward to reuniting when the two clubs face each other this season.
