Manchester United track Celta Vigo midfielder with €40m release clause

Celta Vigo youngster Gabri Veiga is attracting interest from some of Europe’s biggest clubs, including Manchester United.

According to Spanish publication AS, Real Madrid and Barcelona are understood to be hot on the trails of the 20-year-old midfielder, while there is interest building from the Premier League too.

Veiga is being watched by clubs like Manchester United, Liverpool and Man City, while Bayern Munich also have him on their radar ahead of the summer transfer window.

This season he has managed nine goals as well as four assists from 29 La Liga matches. Veiga’s performances have not gone unnoticed by Erik ten Hag, with a series of top managers keep an eye on the talented midfielder.

It is understood that Veiga would be available this summer for €40 million, which is the amount of his release clause.

In a transfer window that will see great demand for players like Jude Bellingham at Borussia Dortmund, it may be worth considering a cheaper option like Veiga.
