Man Utd defender could make first appearance of the season vs Leicester City

On Saturday at Old Trafford, Leicester City will arrive hoping to cause an upset.

Brendan Rodgers’ side are unbeaten this season, with two draws and three wins in all competitions. That puts them third in the Premier League with 8 points from 4 matches.

United, on the other hand, are winless in their last three outings. Draws against Wolves and Southampton were bad, but the defeat to Crystal Palace was very poor.

According to the Manchester Evening News, Axel Tuanzebe could feature for the Red Devils this weekend.

He has remained at the club following his loan spell at Aston Villa last season, during which they gained promotion to the Premier League. The English youngster would have gained plenty experience from that and we all hope he can kick on this season, and show promising signs as a future United defender.

The MEN now report: Axel Tuanzebe could be given his first minutes of the new deason.

Solskjaer made a statement by keeping the 21-year-old at the club this season instead of sending him out on loan and has continued to show his intent to involve the defender by putting him on the bench ahead of the likes of Phil Jones, Marcos Rojo and the recently departed Chris Smalling.

With United’s injuries at full-back, Tuanzebe could play at either right-back or left-back…

The MEN claims Aaron Wan-Bissaka is “potentially out” of the Leicester game, whereas they’ve added little on Luke Shaw’s injury status. He has not been seen since the first-half of the home defeat against Palace, when he suffered a thigh injury.
