Aaron Wan-Bissaka was already carrying the back problem that forced him to withdraw from the England squad this week.
The 21-year-old received his first call-up to the senior squad by Gareth Southgate for the upcoming European Championship qualifiers against Kosovo and Bulgaria.
But, as per the Telegraph, the United full-back was already carrying the injury before the international break and England medics did not want to risk further damage.

Wan-Bissaka will return to United for treatment and will be monitored ahead of the clash against Leicester City at Old Trafford on September 14th.
The report claims the youngster could play with the back injury, as long as it is managed in between games.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s second summer signing has made an immediate impact at Old Trafford and is already establishing his regular first-team place.
It’s important the Reds watch Wan-Bissaka’s fitness closely as they are already without full-backs Luke Shaw and Diogo Dalot.
Meanwhile, United stars Jesse Lingard, Marcus Rashford and Harry Maguire are all expected to feature for the Three Lions in the two fixtures.
