The MLS All-Stars faced Atletico Madrid in the annual one-off match at the Exploria Stadium in Orlando on Wednesday and were beaten 3-0 by the La Liga side.
Four former United players were called up to the MLS All-Stars’ squad for the friendly match, including Nani, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Wayne Rooney and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
But goals from Marcos Llorente, Joao Felix and Diego Costa handed Atleti the victory in the United States.

Obviously, it is disappointing for MLS fans to take such a hammering, but Diego Simeone’s men are one of the best teams in Europe and will be force to be reckoned with this coming season.
Rooney played in midfield against the Spanish giants, while Nani struggled to get a foothold in the match and was substituted at half-time and Zlatan failed to muster up any real scoring opportunities. Schweinsteiger came on after the interval but hardly impressed, similarly disappointing to his days at Old Trafford.
But ex-United winger Nani enjoyed the event despite losing the match, and not playing particularly well. It was because he got to link up with some former United players, all legends of the game.
He took a photo for Twitter, writing: “Unforgettable nights at @MLS All Star. Amazing to see old friends and United legends!”
