‘Could this be a bluff?’ Reporter doesn’t think Man Utd have stepped away from Bruno Fernandes deal

According to Sky Sports, Sporting Lisbon ace Bruno Fernandes is unlikely to join Manchester United this summer.

The report claims Fernandes has been scouted by United, but he is not one of their priority signings.

It is believed most of the rumours came from Portugal, rather than Manchester.

Fernandes has already expressed his desire to play in the Premier League, and caused havoc against Liverpool in a pre-season friendly on Thursday morning by scoring and assisting in their 2-2 draw.

The original report from Sky Sports claims: While Fernandes is not at the top of United’s wishlist, they do still want to sign a central midfielder this summer, as well as a centre-back and winger.

This led to a discussion on Sky Sports News with reporter Anton Toloui questioning United’s stance over a potential transfer by suggesting they could be bluffing over Fernandes.

The Portuguese club don’t want to start a new season with an unhappy player if his mind was set to moving to Old Trafford, and they might feel now is the best time to cash in on the Portugal international.
