Loads of Man Utd fans have mixed reactions to star’s proposed £250,000 p/w contract

The Telegraph report that Marcus Rashford is close to agreeing a new £250,000 per-week contract with Manchester United.

Rashford will sign a four year deal to stay at Old Trafford until 2023, with the option to extend a further year.

The Reds are reportedly looking to announce the 21-year-old’s new deal before the club fly out for their pre-season tour on July 8th.

Rashford has led the line for United ever since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took charge at Old Trafford after Jose Mourinho’s exit.

He has been a favourite for Solskjaer, and has been consistently picked ahead of maligned striker Romelu Lukaku, who has expressed his desire to leave this summer.

The England international has been linked tentatively to huge European sides such as Barcelona and Real Madrid, but now looks set to stay at his boyhood club for the near future.

Many United fans will be pleased to have tied down a contract for one of the club’s most talented youngsters, but there are question marks over the huge sum they are willing to offer the player who’s form considerably dipped towards the end of last season.
