Man Utd and Liverpool still keen on Ligue 1 winger, star wants Premier League move

It seems Manchester United have not yet given up in their chase for Lille forward Nicolas Pepe.

French newspaper La Voix du Nord reports that United are still in the hunt for the Ivorian, who enjoyed an excellent season at Lille.

Pepe has scored 37 goals in just 79 appearances (who scored) over the last couple of seasons, and the report claims that a move away is looking increasingly likely.

The 24-year-old is open to a switch to the Premier League according to these reports, and it seems United are still interested in a move for the player.

Pepe is best operating from the right-wing position, which has been an area of weakness for the Reds in recent years. United have lacked pace down the right-hand side and have often shifted Juan Mata into a wide position despite his lack of pace. Pepe, however, offers natural pace and width which could be perfect for stretching defences in the Premier League.

However, United aren’t the only club interested in Pepe as Liverpool, Athletico Madrid, Juventus and PSG are all interested in the winger, as per the Daily Mail.
