Bruno Fernandes’ agent flies to England for talks with Man Utd and Tottenham

Bruno Fernandes’ agent, Miguel Pinho, has flown to England to hold talks with both Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur, according to today’s edition of Correio da Manha.

The Portugal international has been strongly linked with a move to the Premier League this summer, with Liverpool also said to be interested in signing the attacking-midfielder. A piece from The Express now claims that the Scousers won’t be pursuing the Sporting Lisbon star.

Spurs are also heavily linked with Lyon midfielder Tanguy Ndombele, who is likely to cost a fortune, so if they land the Frenchman it’s difficult to see them going out spending big on another. Especially when you consider they didn’t make a single signing last summer!

It is understood, thanks to translation from Sport Witness, Sporting president Frederico Varandas has asked Fernandes’ agent to ‘accelerate the process’. By flying to England, as the report claims, Pinho is certainly working on things.

Meanwhile, A Bola in Portugal say ‘it should not be too long’ before Sporting receive an offer they can’t refuse.

Both reports reference United and Spurs as clubs Pinho has flown over to speak to, so this story is definitely one to keep an eye on over the coming days.

Let’s wait and see what happens. He was excellent for Portugal in the Nations League final against Netherlands.
