Manchester United are reportedly set to go after Norwich City right-back Max Aarons after struggling to get a deal done for Crystal Palace’s Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
It’s been a long-running saga this summer as the Red Devils go after a replacement for Antonio Valencia, but it looks like the Wan-Bissaka chase may now be over.

Sky Sports claim United are now turning their attention towards highly-rated Norwich youngster Aarons for that role, in what looks a bit of a gamble, in truth.
The 19-year-old is inexperienced even at Championship level, despite playing a starring role for the Canaries as they won promotion to the Premier League last season.
Aarons was named the EFL Young Player of the Season for his efforts, so it’s clear MUFC would be signing a big talent.
However, is he really ready to become first choice at Old Trafford? It’s a big ask.
Of course, United already have Diogo Dalot as another promising young player in that area of the pitch, so it seems more sensible to go for someone more proven and experienced for now, with Dalot to eventually become first choice in the future.
Don Balon – admittedly not always the most reliable transfer source – also claim Man Utd have asked Barcelona about Nelson Semedo. It remains to be seen if this comes to anything, but that might be a move that makes more sense.
