Man Utd ‘increasingly confident’ over Wan-Bissaka deal, despite identifying Dutch alternative to young full-back

Manchester United are ‘increasingly confident’ of securing a summer move for Aaron Wan-Bissaka, according to reliable journalist Sam Pilger.

There appears to be signs now that Crystal Palace and United will come to an agreement over a £50m deal for the 21-year-old right-back.

The Red Devils will feel as though they’re signing a star for the future in Wan-Bissaka. He is beyond his years when you consider other full-backs his age, and it’s an area United really need to bolster ahead of next season.

Antonio Valencia will leave the club this summer after his contract expired, Ashley Young isn’t good enough and Diogo Dalot is still very raw. The former FC Porto wide man can play further up the pitch, so Wan-Bissaka’s arrival may see Dalot get more game time as a wing back.

You have to be confident they can get this deal over the line now.

However, The Sun report United are lining up a £25m bid for PSV right-back Denzel Dumfries, should they fail to secure a deal to sign Wan-Bissaka.

But it doesn’t look like they need to worry about losing out on him now.
