As well as Sigurdsson hits the ball, there’s no way he should be beating David de Gea from that distance, but United have been abject.

The ball takes a bounce but De Gea’s positioning could have been a lot better.

United are now two goals behind and will lose ground in the race for a top-four finish unless they pull something out of the bag quickly.

This is the second mistake De Gea has made this week after a howler saw Lionel Messi score his second against the Reds on Tuesday night.

The Reds have conceded 46 goals in a Premier League season for the first time.
