Borussia Dortmund’s sporting director Michael Zorc has tackled the ongoing speculation surrounding Jadon Sancho’s potential transfer to Manchester United this summer.
The 18-year-old is having his breakthrough season in the Bundesliga, scoring nine goals and registering 15 assists, and The Independent believe United will prioritise a team for the England international and are willing to pay £80 million for his signature.
However, Zorc denies the possibility of Sancho leaving in the summer.
“Jadon will play for Borussia Dortmund next season,” BVB’s sporting director told SportBILD, with the Manchester Evening News citing the quotes. “We are definitely planning with him. I’m also aware that the efforts – especially of the English clubs – to sign him will be stronger and stronger if he continues to play like that.”
Not only will Sancho like the sound of more interest from the Premier League, BVB’s sporting director is also putting his foot down by saying the winger will still be at the club next season.

He does admit it will be difficult to convince Sancho to stay at Dortmund accepting he won’t be there until the end of his career.
“He will certainly not play in Dortmund until the end of his career. That is also part of the truth.”
Sancho is currently considered one of the brightest young talents in the world, so it’s no wonder why United are willing to spend big on him this summer.
Money talks and I’m sure a mega-money bid would force Zorc and co at BVB into consideration.
Even though he’s been amazing for Dortmund this season – domestically and in Europe – Sancho has only had one good season and reports are pulling figures of £80-100 million.
Let’s wait and see what happens.
