Former Man Utd academy star Ravel Morrison looking forward to joining Swedish club Ostersunds

Former Manchester United academy star Ravel Morrison is set to “rebuild” himself at Swedish club Ostersunds.

Morrison won the FA Youth Cup at United in the same squad as Jesse Lingard and Paul Pogba back in 2011, and was tipped to make it before the pair who have without question surpassed their former teammate by becoming first team regulars at United, as well as Pogba winning titles in Italy before the World Cup last summer.

It would be fair to say Morrison has been around the block after loan spells at Birmingham, QPR and Cardiff. He eventually left United for West Ham but joined Lazio later in his career prior to another loan spell at Mexican club Atlas.

Morrison is close to agreeing on a deal to join Ostersunds and has already begun training with the club.

“I’m here to rebuild myself really,” Morrison told Ostersunds’ YouTube channel. “Enjoy it, play football, win everything we can, it’s exciting, I’m really looking forward to it.”

Morrison also reveals in the interview below that he’s an Arsenal fan!

Excuses no longer stand when it comes to Morrison, who often found himself in trouble during his time at United and afterwards. He’s a 26-year-old professional footballer and needs to start taking his career seriously.

It still angers me when I think back at watching Morrison in the youth teams. I’ve never seen an academy player at United so talented and was sure he’d make it.
