Manchester United fans were buzzing to see Tahith Chong make his first-team debut after coming through the club’s famous academy.
The Dutch youngster made his competitive debut against Reading in the FA Cup and impressed supporters seconds after coming on when they started singing ‘We’ve only got one Chong’ from the stands at Old Trafford.
Chong replaced Juan Mata in the second half as United eliminated Reading to progress in the FA Cup.

The 19-year-old went on tour with the first-team over the summer and although he appeared in some friendlies over in the United States, he hasn’t featured since but has been impressing in the youth teams.
It was the perfect environment to introduce a youngster for the first time, against a struggling second tier side, with the win very much in the bag at 2-0 when he came on as a substitute.
He looked raw but showed glimpses of what he can do with the ball.
