Mourinho rekindles interest in old target as Man Utd consider options

Manchester United are reportedly in discussions to sign Ivan Perisic this summer.

Transfer outlet Paris United claims Jose Mourinho is keen on a move for the Croatian international in the coming weeks as he looks to rejuvenate his wide options.

The report suggests Perisic is ‘on the verge’ of completing a move to Old Trafford following the conclusion of the World Cup in Russia, with Croatia after reaching the final.

It is suggested the player’s entourage, which includes Fali Ramadani and Pini Zahavi, are both planning to fly to Manchester in the coming days in order to conclude a deal.

The Reds have been linked with Perisic since last summer when he dominated the club’s transfer headlines.

Mourinho remains fond of the Inter Milan star after his recent displays, potentially doing enough to convince the hierarchy to table a bid for the forward.

Not only is he quick and happy to play out wide, Perisic comes with aerial presence and Mourinho likes his players to be physical. It wouldn’t be a surprise to see the boss go back in for him before the transfer window shuts.

The other options out there are Gareth Bale and Willian, but who would you prefer to see at Old Trafford next season?
