PICTURE: Fred returns to training for Brazil

Manchester United new signing Fred suffered a knock to his ankle whilst preparing for the World Cup and was absent for Brazil’s first game of the tournament, which ended in a 1-1 draw with Switzerland.

Today, Fred uploaded a picture to Instagram to show us all he’s back training with Brazil ahead of their next group stage fixture against Costa Rica, on Friday.

Fred is still waiting for a work permit to fully complete his move from Shakhtar Donetsk to United.

The 25-year-old earned praise throughout Europe after a couple of Champions League performances last year, including two games against Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City.

City were interested in signing Fred, who is more than likely going to fit into a midfield trio already consisting of Nemanja Matic and Paul Pogba at Old Trafford next season.

It’s great to see him back in training.
