Legend urges Man Utd star to snub big-money move elsewhere, amid claims of £100m bid from Chelsea

Manchester United legend Andrew Cole has sent a clear message to Marcus Rashford over his future, amid reports he could leave Old Trafford.

The England international didn’t have the best of seasons in a United shirt, but it’s easy to forget he’s just 20-years-old. Alexis Sanchez arriving in January didn’t help his case either and ultimately put Anthony Martial’s future at the club in doubt, too.

This has since seen Rashford linked as a shock £100 million transfer target to rivals Chelsea, according to a piece from the Daily Star.

And, you don’t need me to tell you that’s a crazy amount of money to pay for Rashford.

With Eden Hazard’s future also in doubt at Stamford Bridge, it makes sense that they could see Rashford as a replacement in attacking with years on his side and the ability to become one of the best.

However, Cole believes Rashford’s recent showings for England ahead of the World Cup should force Jose Mourinho’s hand in giving him more starting appearances next season.

“He is a young boy, naturally he will be disappointed he didn’t play as many games as he would have liked last season,” Cole told the Manchester Evening News.

“But, last season is in the past and if he puts in those performances like he did for England the other night, in the World Cup, then I think he will have a great opportunity next season.

“He is a kid with lots of potential and once he fulfills that he will be up there.”
