Youngster offered £50,000-per-week wage increase at Man Utd

The transfers this summer are set to slow down with the World Cup set to start imminently.

That’s far from ideal for the likes of Jose Mourinho, who knows the pressure will be on next season to deliver, and he knows Manchester United need to improve in a number of areas if we’re going to push for success in Europe or domestically.

The Reds have already sealed two signings with Fred and Diogo Dalot both arriving last week, but it’s still not quite enough.

According to The Sun, the World Cup could also lead to delays with in-house business being done, but it is being suggested that United want to talk with Marcus Rashford this summer over a possible £50,000-a-week wage increase to help convince him to extend his future at Old Trafford.

Rashford made 50 appearances across all competitions, contributing 13 goals and providing nine assists.

However, while used as a substitute regularly and on the flanks following the much-needed arrival of Romelu Lukaku last summer, Stretty News understands Rashford wishes to become a more frequent starter.

The England international has been linked with a loan move with a trio of Premier League clubs – Everton, Newcastle and Leicester City – as per the Daily Star, which only bodes well for me if Mourinho doesn’t see him part of his plans for next season.

That would be a far better idea than losing Rashford, an incredibly gifted youngster, on a permanent basis.

  1. United need to seal this player to the Club indefinitely. He is Manchurian and United through and through, he is talented and bred the United way but you must always remember, “You’ll never win anything with kids.” Ha ha ha
