Man Utd new signing Fred left out of Brazil squad for final warm-up match

Days after signing for Manchester United, Fred suffered an injury while training with the Brazil national team.

There’s no hiding the fact we featured the worst, but apparently, his fitness situation isn’t all that bad and the Brazilian medics don’t seem too worried about it.

However, Fred was left out of Brazil’s squad for their final warm-up game ahead of the World Cup.

The Manchester Evening News claims that Fred flew with the rest of the 23-man team to Austria but “he was not deemed fit enough to make the bench for the final warm up game ahead of the tournament beginning next week.”

Still, Brazil went on to beat Austria 3-0.

There was some good news though, with video footage of Fred walking at the Brazil team hotel. This is a great sign as far as his fitness is concerned.

There’s always a buzz that comes with signing players ahead of a World Cup. Not only does it add interest to the competition, especially if your country isn’t involved, it almost makes us support a new nation with hope the new signing performs.
